What do "developers" mean?

Developers is the count of INDIVIDUALS or DEVELOPMENT MACHINES that will use, compile, or run, any Iron Product code with a debugger attached over a rolling 30-day window. This only applies to development meaning staging, production servers or end-user targets do not count. An employee that has two machines (eg. one at home and one at the office) will count as two developers.

- 1 Project = Each microservice (including Azure and Lambda functions)

What do "locations" mean?

Locations are the cities where your projects are being developed. Adding Royalty-free Redistribution converage unlocks Unlimited Licensing.

When do I need royalty-free redistribution coverage?

OEM Coverage: This license permits the distribution of end-user software that includes our products. It is suitable if you're embedding our software in applications without exposing our functionalities via public APIs to other developers.
SaaS Coverage: This license permits the use of our products within SaaS platforms to deliver backend features and services to end-users. SaaS providers embedding our software can offer its capabilities indirectly through their platform, provided end-users cannot directly access or interact with our APIs.
SDK Coverage: If your product features a public API that exposes our functionalities to other developers, you must use an SDK license. This is necessary if your existing end-user software under an OEM license evolves to include public APIs. Note that creating or adding to code libraries for resale using our products is strictly prohibited under the SDK License. Contact to Sales Team.
No Coverage Required: If Iron Software products are used internally within your organization without redistribution or public API exposure, no additional license is required.

When do I need Air-gapped coverage?

The Air-gapped license option allows customers to operate in isolated development environments without requiring online license verification. It is suitable for customers who want to verify license keys in an offline only secure environment.

Can I try the product before purchasing a license?

All products can be evaluated and used for free with a trial key for development & testing within an IDE.
All trial keys unlock full functionality for up to 30 days allowing you to test the full capabilities of the product in development and production.

Can I get support during the trial period?

How will I receive my license key?

Can I customize the EULA for my license?

Bespoke Licenses: The EULA is set for all licenses. Iron Software will consider EULA changes for Iron Suite Enterprise licenses only. Conditions apply.

Can we negotiate changes to specific EULA clauses?

EULA amendments are available under Enterprise licensing. Iron can review reasonable customer redlines to defined sections of the EULA. For Plus or Professional licenses, standard terms apply unless you upgrade to Enterprise.

Can we change or remove the publicity/logo clause?

Enterprise customers can request changes to the Publicity section (Section 11), including restricting case studies, logos, or implementing "No Publicity" language. If a custom publicity clause was previously agreed, it can be carried forward on additional or upgraded Enterprise licenses for the same customer.

Can you provide an editable EULA for our legal team?

For Enterprise deals, Iron provides the latest EULA version and an editable format (Word) for customer legal teams to review and mark up. Please specify if you require a particular year or version.

Will negotiating EULA changes affect pricing?

In enterprise procurements, commercial terms may be linked to EULA outcomes. Caps or constraints should be explicitly stated in your quote or order form. Standard redlines typically don't affect pricing, but extensive legal changes may require commercial review.

Can we reuse an already-negotiated EULA for new licenses?

Yes. If your organization has an existing signed EULA with specific negotiated amendments, Iron can typically reuse those agreed terms for additional license purchases and upgrades to Enterprise for the same legal entity, provided no material changes are required.

What's the process for EULA review during procurement?

For Enterprise deals: (1) Iron shares the current EULA and editable version if needed, (2) Your legal team returns marked-up changes, (3) Iron legal/sales reviews and negotiates, (4) Final EULA or addendum is issued. Plan review cycles accordingly as this may add time to procurement.
